Origin of "Achilles' Heel"?

The phrase "Achilles' Heel" originates from the Greek myth of Achilles, a central figure in the Trojan War. According to legend, Achilles was the son of the sea nymph Thetis and King Peleus. To make him invincible, Thetis dipped him in the River Styx, which granted him extraordinary strength and resilience. However, she held him by his heel during this process, leaving that part of his body untouched by the magical waters.

As a result, Achilles became a legendary warrior, renowned for his prowess in battle but with one critical vulnerability: his heel. This weakness ultimately led to his downfall. In the Trojan War, he was killed when Paris, aided by the god Apollo, shot an arrow that struck his heel.

The term "Achilles' heel" has since evolved to represent a person's singular weakness or vulnerability, especially in the context of an otherwise strong individual. It serves as a poignant reminder of the fragility that exists even in the mightiest of heroes.

Coined as "Petrichor", the soothing scent captures the refreshing aroma of morning rain on wet soil, creating a uniquely tranquil atmosphere. 

The Eco-Friendly Touch

The scented candle features an eco-friendly wood wick and is crafted from 100% natural soy wax. The wood wick creates a gentle crackling sound reminiscent of a cosy fireplace, enhancing your relaxation experience, while the soy wax, derived from renewable resources, burns longer and cleaner than traditional paraffin.

1. The marble pattern on each container is unique, and its richness varies.
2. The statue cover contains craftsmanship, which might lead to minor and inevitable faulty bits. They shall not be considered as a faulty item.
3. Do not put out the fire by using the statue cover, as the resin material may deform or release harmful gas.
4. The packaging box, which is also designed as a decor display base, does not hold tightly when closed. It is ribbon-wrapped for securing the position. When taking it out, always hold the bottom and place it on a levelled surface before untying to open it.
5. If the box needs to be carried around, please wrap it tightly and keep it levelled at all times to avoid shattering the statue inside the box.

1. Before lighting your scented candle, trim the wick to about 1/4 inch. This helps prevent a large flame and reduces soot.
Place your candle on a stable, heat-resistant surface away from drafts, flammable materials, and direct sunlight to ensure an even burn.
2. Use a long lighter or match to light the wick, taking care to keep your fingers at a safe distance from the flame.
Allow the candle to burn for at least 1-2 hours during its first use. This helps create a full melt pool, preventing tunnelling and ensuring an even scent distribution.
3. When you’re ready to extinguish the scented candle, use a candle snuffer or gently blow it out. Avoid blowing directly on the wick, as this can cause wax splatter.
4. When not in use, keep your scented candle covered or in a cool, dry place to protect it from dust and moisture.
5. Always supervise a burning candle and never leave it unattended. Keep it out of reach of children and pets to ensure safety.

有深度的美

行經K11 Pop-Up見到第一眼已經覺得吸引，本身都有玩香薰蠟燭，不過外型咁特別真係第一次見。

再聽埋佢哋用心講解，先知道原來背後有咁深嘅意思。一路聽一路都有啲眼濕濕咁，好難唔買！而Staff好好人咁見到我地手上已經一袋二袋，驚我哋再拎會易跌爛，所以offer速遞到屋企，淨係細心位已經加曬分！👍🏻👍🏻 放係間房真心好靚，我仲諗緊幾時用先好呀哈哈
